The ambience in our dining room is important too. The views of the water are stunning, and equally inviting are the welcoming smiles of residents around the tables. You are always welcome to invite guests, or host a family dinner in our private dining room. And if you need a little pick-me-up, stop by our bistro for a freshly prepared snack and hot beverage.

At Chartwell Bayview, we take into account the preferences and palates of our residents, offering a diversified feature menu. How does a starter of turkey and rice soup with vegetables or house salad with a choice of dressings sound, followed by an entrée of Teriyaki orange salmon loin garnished with pickled ginger (served with potato bake, roasted cauliflower and fresh asparagus), finishing up with rhubarb crumble for dessert? Our menus are inspired by each season, and you will never see the same lunch or dinner feature twice in a four-week period. We are also happy to accommodate any special dietary requirements you may have.

You can also dine from our robust à la carte menu, with its popular selections of crowd-pleasing dishes, including entrées, soups, salads, showcase sandwiches, fruit, and desserts. And don’t forget that we have our own in-house ice cream parlour—chocolate-chip mint, anyone?

While the quality, taste and presentation of our food is paramount at Chartwell Bayview, our entire food services team, including our servers, is our not-so-secret ingredient. Join us for a meal and you’ll be greeted by friendly and engaging servers. How do you like your coffee? What style of bread do you prefer? Your server will learn about you and about your preferences. Don’t be surprised if your Food Services Manager stops by either to get your feedback on making your dining experience the very best it can be.
