At Chartwell Bayview, our goal is for you to live your best retirement years feeling fulfilled and confident, knowing that you are supported to follow the pursuits that are meaningful to you. Our LiveNow enrichment program was founded on that philosophy, and our activities reflect the six dimensions of wellness—physical, social, emotional, intellectual, vocational, and spiritual. Our activities are also fun, engaging, and meaningful—and you might find yourself inspired to try something completely new and different.

Participate in our engaging activities

We are a lively community of creative, curious, and active seniors at Chartwell Bayview, and our calendar of activities reflects that. Just a sample: if you like staying fit, welcome to chair yoga, or dance away your cares at a Rhythm ‘N’ Moves class. If you like to be challenged, drop by “Fun with French,” or explore your creative side in our stories and poems class. You can learn something new from our guest speakers or satisfy your musical side at our regular concerts and sing-alongs. Feed your soul with Java Music Club, a hymn sing, or a worship service. We always enjoy getting together and there are regular Happy Hours, sweet treats in our bistro, and outings on our accessible shuttle to shopping, restaurants, and local and regional attractions. And while you could be busy every day, your schedule is completely yours to create and follow in the way that best suits you!

One of our most appreciated amenities at Chartwell Bayview is our gorgeous patio overlooking the Bay of Quinte. It’s hard not to fall in love with the views of the water, the boats, and the birds and wildlife we see throughout the changing seasons.

Beyond our spacious dining room and intimate private dining room, our charming bistro is a gathering place for residents who want to meet for a coffee and snack. We have an inviting library and lounge with grand piano and cozy fireplace to relax by. Our activity room and games room with billiard table are popular spaces to create, play cards, and have fun. We also have a dedicated movie theatre, complete with comfortable theatre seating, and well-equipped fitness studio. Residents enjoy our hair salon too, and the fact that we have a guest room for overnight visitors.
