Begin your experience by stepping into our beautiful dining room, where flexible dining times give you choices to fit your schedule. With its spacious layout, soaring coffered ceiling, and vistas overlooking our patio and gardens, you’ll feel instantly at ease here, surrounded by the lively chatter of residents, and welcoming staff. Then think about whether you’ll select from our diversified daily feature menu, or our à la carte menu. Regardless of your choice, you’ll receive a meal crafted from fresh, wholesome ingredients, sourced locally through our supplier whenever possible. We also have a private dining room to host family, and a bistro where you can enjoy a freshly prepared snack and a hot beverage. At the end of every day, our goal is to provide you with a wholly satisfying dining experience.

At Chartwell Regency, we embrace our diverse, close-knit community of residents, their families, and staff, making our residence a vibrant and supportive place to call home. We love getting together whenever we wish, whether that’s a spontaneous chat over coffee at our bistro or on our garden patio during the nice weather, or at one of our fun and fulfilling activities and outings. Consider joining us for a “Walk the Block” stroll,  or a Rhythm ‘N’ Moves session, or engage your brain—and your sense of fun—in a lively game of Scrabble on the patio. We are gardeners and bakers, lovers of food and culture, and volunteers through our H.O.P.E initiative. You’ll find us out in our chauffeured car doing errands, or on our shuttle taking advantage of Port Credit’s dynamic festivals, restaurants, shops, and parks. And if you enjoy Happy Hour by the fire, regular musical performances in our lounge, or coming together for worship services, Chartwell Regency could be the place you are proud to call home.

Senior living in Port Credit, Mississauga   

If Port Credit is a hidden gem of a lakefront neighbourhood tucked into Mississauga’s urban metropolis, then Chartwell Regency is an equally vibrant jewel of senior living. Located in a prestigious, quiet area on Mississauga Road North, but just steps away from Port Credit’s charming historic downtown and the network of walking paths and waterfront parks hugging the shores of Lake Ontario and the Credit River, our residence is within walking distance—or a short drive or transit ride—to almost every desirable amenity. You’ll find both national and independent grocery stores, chain and local stores, coffee shops, pharmacies, unique restaurants, banks, and medical and dental clinics. Trillium Health Partners Mississauga Hospital is a 10-minute drive away. The nearby GO train whisks you to downtown Toronto in 20 minutes, and the QEW is also minutes north from Mississauga Road.  

Things to do in Port Credit, Mississauga

The beautiful shorelines of Lake Ontario and the Credit River make a spectacular starting point for Port Credit’s rich and varied amenities and attractions. Because of its historic downtown chock-full of unique shops, restaurants, galleries, gardens, and parks—all eminently walkable—it’s especially attractive to seniors looking for an engaging lifestyle.

You could start your tour in Port Credit Memorial Park, with its architecturally-award-winning local library at the entrance, followed by a looping path and gazebo. The park is home to many festivals, including the Mississauga Waterfront Festival, Mississauga VegFest, Southside Shuffle Jazz & Blues Festival, and the Port Credit Busker Fest.

J.J. Plaus Park is another downtown green space that leads you to the water’s edge, where street musicians play in the warmer months and the Snug Harbour Restaurant beckons, one of the area’s most popular eateries. You’ll also have a great view of the iconic Port Credit Lighthouse across the bridge, one of the most picturesque attractions in the neighbourhood. If you’re not strolling the Waterfront Trail that winds its way through Port Credit, walk along Lakeshore Road, and stop into a café or one of the many fashion and gift boutiques. You’ll find harvest wagons of fresh food too, at the local seasonal farmer’s market, a little further east on Lakeshore Rd.
