The Dining Experience at Chartwell Regency in Port Credit, Mississauga 

Gathering in our gorgeous, coffered-ceiling dining room for a delicious meal and some wonderful conversation and laughter is one of our residents’ most anticipated experiences. Our goal is that you are very satisfied with your dining experience, whether that’s breakfast, lunch, or dinner, or one of our freshly-prepared snacks.

The food services team at Chartwell Regency is dedicated to delivering not just meals that are tasty but are also nutritious. We strive to create meals from scratch incorporating seasonal ingredients, so you’ll never see a meal repeated twice in a four-week period. What’s for dinner? Our featured menu could include a choice of tomato Florentine soup or Caesar salad, followed by an entrée of roasted breast of chicken with a garden thyme jus (served with sour cream and chive mashed potatoes, braised red cabbage and fresh broccoli). If you still have room for dessert, creamy raisin rice pudding could be the perfect finish.

At Chartwell’s in-house Culinary Centre, we are always creating and testing new recipes based on our residents’ preferences, palates and dietary needs. If the featured menu isn’t quite to your taste that day, our à la carte menu will be sure to please, with a selection of popular entrées, soups, salads, sandwiches, and tempting desserts.

Holidays, birthdays, and themed nights make our dining experience even more special. For example, we have enjoyed an Italian night, where not only the meal reflected one of the world’s great cuisines, but we also held make-your-own-pizza classes, Italian trivia, and armchair-adventures-to-Italy events, creating a memorable day for residents and staff.

You are always welcome to invite guests to our dining room. For more intimate celebrations, we can provide catered service in our inviting private dining room.

Part of what makes the dining experience at Chartwell Regency great is our staff. Many of them have worked with us for several years, and because we are a small residence, they get to know residents and their families. Friendly and attentive, they will learn your preferences, noting how you take your coffee, what kind of toast is your favourite, and the fact that you like your salad dressing on the side, all the while sharing a smile or laugh with you.
