Care & Support Options at Chartwell Grenadier in Toronto
We provide two different levels of support to residents at Chartwell Grenadier. For active seniors who are looking for independent living, we offer access to a menu of care services if you need some assistance. For seniors who require more ongoing care, we have our assisted living option.
We take your safety seriously, which is why we also provide a variety of enhanced features, starting with a secure entrance to our residence. You’ll also be equipped with a Personal Emergency Response Pendant for fast support from our 24/7 staff, and all of our bathrooms have grab bars.
Independent living
Care Services available
Independent living at Chartwell Grenadier is designed to help you continue living your retirement years with more joy, purpose, and support when you need it. Through our Care Assist Program, we will work with you to find out which, if any, additional care or wellness services you’d find helpful, from having your vitals monitored to helping ensure your medication is taken properly. We can also help with support for showering and escorting you to meals. We have a team of reliable visiting care professionals, like a doctor, optometrist, audiologist, and a registered massage therapist we’re happy to connect you to. We can also help with lab services you may need.
Independent living residents receive one meal a day, and you’re welcome to add additional meals if you wish. Our housekeeping staff will clean your suite once a week. You have open access to all amenities, activities, and social events.

Assisted living
Our residents who benefit from an increased level of care live in our dedicated assisted living neighbourhood. Here, you’ll receive support from our trained and helpful staff with everything from medication supervision, continence care, oxygen service, and having your vitals monitored. You can select these options from our Care Assist menu or opt for an all-inclusive plan. We also have an on-site nurse available in our wellness centre to assist and support your medical care, as well as a visiting physician and other trusted health partners to provide extra support.
Your plan includes three wholesome meals a day, laundry and weekly housekeeping services, and your choice of organized activities and amenities.
We’re here to help you or a loved one understand your options and which service level will be the right fit for you. Our Health & Wellness Manager will also conduct an assessment before you move in to ensure you’re receiving the right level of care for your unique needs and preferences.
