The dining experience

Your experience begins with a friendly greeting from our Maître D’ in our bright, open dining room before you peruse our seasonally changing menu. We always offer à la carte options and daily featured specials so we can serve you the freshest ingredients possible in hearty soups, wholesome salads, diverse entrées, and tempting desserts. Breakfast includes a variety of hot and cold cereal, fresh fruit and juices, and eggs your way. Help yourself to refreshments and anytime snacks in our bistro.

Our activity calendar is full of interesting ways for you to meet and have fun with your fellow residents, whether you’re expanding your mind at a workshop or guest speaker, or exercising your body at a fitness class. Indoors and out, Chartwell Grenadier is designed for connecting at amenities that invite you to socialize casually or get involved in your choice of organized leisure programs. Our beautiful outdoor spaces are outfitted with comfy seating and our spacious indoor lounge is perfect for an afternoon card game. We offer suites for seniors at two different levels of care at Chartwell Grenadier. Our independent living suites are available in studio, one-bedroom and two bedrooms layouts. We have studios in our assisted living neighbourhood for those who would benefit from more care.

Senior living in High Park  

Chartwell Grenadier is on a bustling strip of Bloor Street West between Ellis Park Road and Clendenan Avenue, surrounded by cute shops and convenient amenities. Our residence is close to grocery stores, banks, coffee shops, pharmacies, hospitals, and medical clinics. We’re also surrounded by great restaurants, from pubs to Mexican fare, and minutes from High Park subway station, making it easy to get around the city. Last but certainly not least, beautiful High Park is right across the street!  

Things to do in Toronto

Toronto offers so much for seniors to see and do. High Park is right across the street with nearly 400 acres of natural beauty—from cherry blossoms in the spring, to Shakespeare under the stars in the summer, and changing leaves in the fall. There’s even a petting zoo!  

We’re close to the shops and conveniences of Bloor West Village. Roncesvalles has interesting bookstores, funky clothing shops, and delicious restaurants. Toronto Eaton Centre offers great shopping downtown. 

Toronto’s cultural scene is exceptional. Explore landmarks like the Art Gallery of Ontario and Royal Ontario Museum, as well as unique exhibits at the Bata Shoe Museum and Gardiner Museum for ceramics. Enjoy world-class performances by the Toronto Symphony Orchestra or Canadian Opera Company.
