Whether you live in our main retirement residence or our seniors’ apartments, you enjoy full access to our on-site amenities and activities. Of course, your involvement is completely up to you, according to your interests, schedule, and desire for familiar hobbies or new experiences. You can take part in whichever activities that catch your eye on our events calendar, or join in informal social gatherings with your peers. Engaging and fun, our programs and venues are designed to foster your physical, social, emotional, intellectual, vocational, and spiritual well-being.
Participate in our engaging activities
Here at Chartwell Héritage, you can participate in a lively range of activities just steps from your private suite. Live musicians, singers, and other entertainers are always welcome visitors, as are guest speakers and experts discussing a variety of topics—from fabulous cities to healthy habits and current affairs. Senior exercise classes are a wonderful way to stay active together. Meet a friend for a game of darts or socialize with your neighbours at one of our recreational programs. If you’d like to leave the driving to someone else, join your peers on one of our day trips in and around Ottawa aboard our shuttle bus—we go sightseeing, visit local restaurants, attend cultural and sporting venues, or do some shopping. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming.

Our amenities mean you can follow your passions or try a new hobby without leaving our residence! Do your favourite workout routine in our fitness centre or join a round of cards in the games room. Our computer room is a handy place to do some online research, check your email, or make a video call. Attend a service in the chapel or stop in at the library to find a new novel or biography. It’s easy to stay engaged and social when you have so many opportunities to keep learning.
