Activities & Amenities at Chartwell Riverside in London

Step through the door of our residence and you’ll notice it is buzzing with activity, with residents, families, guests, and staff chatting, laughing, or getting ready for what comes next. That could be a favourite activity, going on an outing, or outdoors in the garden.

There is a rich and rewarding array of activities purposefully created to help you remain active and engaged, regardless of your mobility. Our LiveNow life enrichment program includes many meaningful experiences, all of which are founded on the six dimensions of wellness—physical, social, emotional, intellectual, spiritual, and vocational. Get ready to be engaged, informed, entertained, challenged, or even inspired!

Some of our residents’ favourites include stretch and relaxation classes in our fitness room, our resident/staff dance challenge (get ready for fun!), board games under our shady gazebo, interesting guest speakers and talented performers who visit from the community, and our outings to shop and attend events and concerts. We also love to relax watching a film in the movie theatre, or gathering around our grand piano for a sing-along, or simply strolling around the residence and townhomes, enjoying the birds and small wildlife that live close to the riverbank.

Participate in our engaging activities

Your day at Chartwell Riverside is to be enjoyed exactly as you please. Some residents when they first move in are excited to fill their social calendars, while others prefer to keep their days open and flexible to whatever strikes their fancy. Regardless, you’ll find it’s easy to make friends through our many social opportunities, and you can join in at any time. You could keep fit with a VON exercise class or Wii bowling in the morning. Or, come to our poetry corner afterwards for a more creative pursuit. There’s a regular FitMinds class to challenge your brain, or come and listen to one of our regular guest speakers to challenge your curiosity. Our residents enjoy a range of spiritually-focused activities, including Java Music Club, spiritual discussions, and on-site worship services. We enjoy listening to music under the stars too, and getting out for shopping at Cherryhill Village or White Oaks malls, or a boat cruise or picnic. Naturally, you can also relax in your comfortable, private suite.
