The activities and amenities at Chartwell Oak Park LaSalle will entertain you, challenge you, and intrigue you to stay fit, keep learning, be creative, make friends, and have fun. Some of our residents are active participants in helping us to plan and execute these experiences, enthusiastically and skillfully leading various classes and groups.

Our activities are part of Chartwell’s signature LiveNow life enrichment program that incorporates six dimensions of wellness—physical, social, emotional, intellectual, vocational, and spiritual. You’ll find both residents and staff are supportive and inclusive, encouraging everyone to enjoy each day in the best way they know how.

Participate in our engaging activities

Residents at Chartwell Oak Park LaSalle have a diverse range of interests. You’ll find them giving cuddles to a furry friend during our regular pet visits. You’ll see them moving and grooving in a Rhythm ‘N’ Moves or Zumba workout, or challenging their brains in a FitMinds class. They may be attending a worship service in our chapel, or further exploring their spiritual side in our Java Music Club. There are card sharks among us, and creative types getting together at our craft corner. If you enjoy a cocktail or mocktail, you’ll be very welcome to join us on the patio. All of us love to be out and about, taking the residence shuttle bus to shopping trips, as well as parks, entertainment, and community events. Of course, how you spend your day—or fill your schedule—is completely at your discretion: you are welcome to fill your schedule or keep it completely open, choosing to relax in your private suite, in one of our common areas, or on the patio.

Explore our variety of on-site amenities

The great thing about the wide range of activities and social events at Chartwell Oak Park LaSalle is that you can enjoy them all within the residence—a huge benefit when the cold and snow arrives! Even better is that all of our amenities are on one level, easy to navigate to through our wide hallways and spacious, open common areas. You’ll find a bistro for enjoying a coffee or snack with a friend, our movie theatre with big-screen projector and theatre-style seating, a TV room, and activity and multi-function rooms. We use our dedicated chapel for worship services and quiet reflection. Of course, our main dining room is always an inviting space, and our smaller, private dining room welcomes family and friends gatherings, where you can also use our catering service.
