Memory Care at Chartwell Scarlett Heights 

Our unique, person-centred approach to memory care means our trained and caring staff seek to establish strong social connections with residents in order to foster trust and familiarity. We also partner with families to learn each person’s life history—all to better understand their story and form meaningful relationships.   

To better support the families of our residents, we have a dedicated Social Worker on-site to provide orientation, facilitate family conferences and deliver counseling services if desired. Family members are also encouraged to drop by any time to speak with our Memory Living Manager.   

Chartwell Scarlett Height’s Memory Living Neighbourhood includes the following specialized programs and services for your loved one’s comfort and well-being:   - Small resident-to-staff ratios   - Secure and interactive environment with 24-hour supervision   - Staff training in Gentle Persuasive Approach (GPA) and Positive Persuasive Approach (PPA) to help them understand and cater to the unique needs of our residents living with dementia   - Specialized life-enrichment programming, supportive and nutritious dining experience and group outings   - Flexible routines that balance structure with spontaneity   - Person-centred care plans reflective of residents’ unmet needs, abilities, and interests   - Dedicated Memory Living Manager and Social Worker to support families
