Chartwell Scarlett Heights Memory Care
"Personalized care for individuals living with dementia; ongoing support and guidance for their family."
At Chartwell Scarlett Heights, the safety of our residents and staff is our highest priority. While we have always maintained strong infection protocols, we have enhanced our safety measures, continue to follow all government directives for heightened infection control, and foster safe social experiences within our residence for everyone’s safety and peace of mind.
Chartwell Scarlett Height’s Memory Living Neighbourhood is a supportive and independent environment for seniors living with dementia, located on a secure floor of the retirement residence. Our unique person-centred approach to memory care means our trained and caring staff seek to establish strong social connections with residents in order to foster trust and familiarity. We also partner with families to learn each person’s life history—all in an effort to better understand their story and form meaningful relationships. To better support the families of our residents, we have a dedicated Dementia Counsellor on-site to provide orientation, facilitate family conferences and deliver counseling services if desired. Family members are also encouraged to drop by any time to speak with our Memory Living Manager. Chartwell Scarlett Height’s Memory Living Neighbourhood includes the following specialized programs and services:
- Small resident-to-staff ratios
- Secure and interactive environment with 24-hour supervision, including access to outdoor space
- Specialized life-enrichment programming, family-style dining and group outings
