Within the main residence, choose from pet-friendly suites with inviting studio or one-bedroom layouts that include an ensuite bathroom. In the separate, on-site seniors’ apartment building, you can choose from contemporary one-bedroom, one-bedroom-plus-den, and two-bedroom options, each equipped with a full kitchen with stainless steel appliances, a balcony or walk-out patio, ensuite laundry, and ample storage space.

What services are included in a retirement residence in Kitchener?
A long list of additional services are included in your rent at Chartwell Bankside. For independent living, these services include three meals daily, transportation services, weekly housekeeping and linen services, and 24/7 call-bell access to staff for support, including nighttime emergency response. Your rental fee also covers utilities including electricity, heating and air conditioning, telephone, cable TV, and Wi-Fi in common areas. You can elect to add services like laundry services, outdoor parking, or hair salon appointments. Meanwhile, our seniors’ apartments offers convenient services like housekeeping and access to activities and newly renovated amenities at the main residence. Meal packages are available for apartment residents for an additional fee.
