At Chartwell Oakville, we know that a wonderful meal enjoyed with friends is a pleasure to be savoured, especially in your retirement years. It not only nourishes the body, but the mind and spirit too, as studies prove that dining with others can have a positive effect on both physical and mental health. That’s why we focus a great deal of attention on the dining experience at our residence, offering an inviting dining room, warmly decorated, where residents can enjoy a delicious meal, the company and conversation around the table, and friendly serving staff. Guests are always welcome here too.

We prepare dishes from scratch using seasonal ingredients, and our recipes for entrées, soups, salads, and desserts are both delicious and nutritious. Our menus are also driven by our residents’ tastes and preferences, offering both familiar fare along with flavour combinations that invite you to try something different.

For dinner, how about beginning with golden minestrone soup or a Greek salad, followed by braised pork shank in Dijon jus with mini potatoes, grilled asparagus, and roasted Roma tomatoes, topped off by banana bread pudding with custard? Beyond our varied and diversified daily menus, residents and guests can also choose from our inviting à la carte menu that features crowd-pleasing dishes. Throughout the day, we offer freshly prepared snacks, perfect to enjoy with a hot beverage in our bistro.

Our private dining room is available for you to host family and friends, and we offer convenient catering services too.

Many of our staff are tenured, and have been a part of the Chartwell Oakville community for years. They’ll learn how you like your tea, or if you prefer smaller portions. Your entire food services team, led by our Food Service Manager, is dedicated to making every meal a satisfying experience.
