At Chartwell Griesbach, our retirement residence in Edmonton offers a variety of lifestyle options and care services that can be tailored to your needs and preferences, empowering you to age in a secure, comfortable way in your retirement home. We offer independent living for active seniors, Private Supportive Living services for individuals who wish to have some additional daily support to age comfortably, Continuing Care Home Type B for seniors in need of 24-hour assisted living services, and memory care (Continuing Care Home Type B Secure Space) in a secure neighbourhood of our community for seniors living with dementia.
Care Services available
Our independent living lifestyle provides a wide range of service options that can help make each day convenient and worry-free. If you want to visit with friends over dinner and take a break from preparing meals and washing dishes, join us for a delicious and nutritious meal served by warm, welcoming staff in our dining room. How good would it feel to spend less time and energy keeping your suite and clothing spotless? Hand over those chores to our housekeeping and personal laundry staff! Would you rather not drive to an appointment or the grocery store in poor weather? Take advantage of our convenient transportation services. To ease your mind, we also have staff on site 24-7 and emergency response at night.
Your health and wellness matter to us too. That is why we offer many valuable services and easy access to visiting professionals on your doorstep. These include an audiology/hearing clinic, visiting physician, visiting optometrist, and lab services.
Do you or a loved one need some extra daily support to live well? Funded by Alberta Health Services, our Private Supportive Living services entail personalized support and care tailored to your specific needs and preferences. Care services such as medication management and assistance with activities of daily living can be provided, and there is access to an on-site nurse too. Care and services are exclusively provided by Chartwell staff.
To qualify, an Alberta Health Services Case Manager completes an assessment, authorizes and schedules care for you or a loved one at our retirement residence. Additional care and services (scheduled or unscheduled) may be available and provided at an additional fee too.
Continuing Care Home Type B combines convenient retirement services with personalized care support. This subsidized lifestyle option is ideal for you or a loved one if you need significant help with your daily routine and customized services that can help maintain or improve your comfort and quality of life. We provide assisted living services such as assistance with your daily routine, bathing and showering assistance, medication management, vitals monitoring, an escort to meals and activities, and much more. Together, we will partner to build your individual care plan that meets your specific needs 24 hours a day.
To qualify, an Alberta Health Services Case Manager completes an assessment, authorizes and schedules care for you or a loved one at our retirement residence. Additional care and services (scheduled or unscheduled) may be available and provided at an additional fee.
Our continuum of care retirement community also offers memory care suites (Continuing Care Home Type B Secure Space) for seniors living with dementia. Caring and compassionate staff are trained in dementia support to help residents live each day in contentment and comfort. Care services may include cueing assistance, hygiene assistance, medication management, assistance with activities of daily living, access to an on-site nurse and visiting physician, and much more.
