The following care levels are offered at this residence. For questions regarding which care level may be the best fit for yourself or a loved one, please contact us.
Independent Living
Independent Living is a lifestyle option that is ideal for active and independent seniors or individuals looking to downsize. Older adults who choose Independent Living appreciate not having to spend time and energy on the many tasks associated with homeownership, preferring an uncomplicated, worry-free lifestyle focused on the people and pursuits they love most.
Independent Living offers a combination of 24/7 staff support, engaging social, leisure and fitness opportunities, and a wide range of convenient services. These may include delicious meal options, housekeeping, laundry and much more.
For seniors seeking light care, support services are available through the province’s Home Care program. To qualify, an Alberta Health Services Case Manager completes an assessment, authorizes and funds scheduled home care for an individual at their retirement residence.
Designated Supportive Living
Designated Supportive Living combines convenient retirement services with personalized care support. This lifestyle option is ideal for seniors who need significant help with their daily routine and customized care services that can help maintain or improve their comfort and quality of life. Services may include assistance with your morning or evening routine, assistance with bathing or showering, medication management, meal assistance and much more.
Typically, Designated Supportive Living services are available in dedicated neighbourhoods of a retirement residence and offer specialized dining and activities, including memory care services for seniors living with dementia.
To qualify, an Alberta Health Services Case Manager completes an assessment and coordinates admission into our DSL suites. Care is funded by Alberta Health Services; however, care and services are provided directly by Chartwell staff.
Private Supportive Living
Private Supportive Living is well suited to seniors who want to benefit from an independent lifestyle that offers a variety of optional care and support services that can make life enjoyable and worry-free. This lifestyle option offers 24/7 on-site staff support, engaging social, leisure and fitness opportunities, delicious and nutritious dining, housekeeping, laundry and much more. Flexible care services can vary—from assistance with your morning or evening routine to medication management.
