The feeling of a supportive family home
Our senior living home in Kanata South offers the surrounding community a number of lifestyle options—from independent living suites to a dedicated Memory Living neighbourhood. Located in a quiet, tree-lined residential neighbourhood, many individuals choose to live with us because they have children or relatives living in the area. As such, it isn’t uncommon to see family members stopping by on the way to take their kids to school, or while out walking their dogs. As we’re a small residence, you’ll quickly feel a part of our close-knit community of residents and their families. We are also pet-friendly!
Long-standing community reputation
Well-established in Kanata, our retirement residence enjoys a strong reputation in the community, thanks in large part to our caring, long-service staff. We love to welcome members of our local community into our home, and host regular Bridge Club meetings in our games room. You can also look forward to our always-popular Thursday Happy Hours, ice-cream socials in the summers, reading in our well-stocked library, and peaceful strolls along our outdoor walking paths, shaded beneath mature and blooming trees. Our retirement home also boasts a theatre, chapel, salon, planters for gardening, and a newly renovated bistro!
Flexible care and support
To ensure personalized support, our Care Assist program—an offering of à la carte wellness services and all-inclusive care packages—further provides you with the flexibility to add or remove services. This empowers you to create a customized care plan that meets your unique needs, preferences, and abilities so you can feel your best each day.
The dining experience
Chartwell Empress Kanata is known for its welcoming and caring atmosphere, which certainly describes our dining program. Our food service team creates a range of dishes for you to choose from and they love to incorporate as many local and seasonal ingredients as possible. Meanwhile, friendly staff serve three daily meals in our dining room, where you can also enjoy flexible dining times, open seating, and a glass of wine.
