Here, you can choose from a selection of newly renovated suites that come in large and bright studio and one-bedroom layouts featuring kitchenettes.

If you're looking for outdoor pursuits, you can enjoy breathtaking views from Burlington Pier or stroll along the waterfront trail of Spencer Smith Park. For arts and music lovers, you can discover the award-winning Art Gallery of Burlington or enjoy a live music show at the Burlington Performing Arts Centre. Both our featured and à la carte menus are chock-full of fresh, wholesome ingredients, carefully prepared and served. Savour your meal in our traditional dining room with its large picture windows, or host family and friends in our private dining space. Enjoy our freshly-prepared snacks in our casual bistro or indulge your sweet tooth in our ice cream parlour!

Activities and amenities

Martha’s Landing is a small, boutique-style residence where everything is personal, including our approach to activities and. This is a seniors’ residence where everyone knows your name, and knows you. You’ll see residents and staff chatting and laughing together as residents pursue the things they love to do. They may be exchanging opinions in our morning news and views session, or learning something interesting in  ‘Today in History.’ Later on they could be staying fit in a gentle exercise class, or taking a virtual tour of China. They enjoy Happy Hour, gathering at our grand piano, and scenic drives to Niagara too. Like you, their goal is to explore a life-enriching retirement where they belong to a safe and supportive community.

An intimate residence that is home to fewer than 70 residents, Chartwell Martha’s Landing is unassuming from the outside and completely charming on the inside! Here you’ll find two floor plans in our studio suites, and a choice of four layouts in our one-bedroom suites. Our suites are functional, spacious, and bright, all with kitchenettes for light meal or snack preparation. We also offer optional outdoor parking. You’ll feel right at home here with the peace of mind that comes with a call bell system and access to staff 24/7.  

Senior living in Burlington   

One of the charms of calling Chartwell Martha’s Landing home is the spectacular downtown Burlington location. Whether you love to walk, shop, go to the theatre, enjoy nature, dine in fine restaurants or casual pubs, or explore historical artifacts or Canadian art, take in a festival, or relax on a beach, you’ll find it’s all virtually next door. You can say the same for medical and dental clinics, including a pharmacy on Martha Street, and state-of-the-art Joseph Brant Hospital, all within 10 minutes. The QEW is equally accessible, as well as VIA Rail and the GO Train from Aldershot Station.  

Things to do in Burlington   

Burlington has grown from a sleepy suburban town into a vibrant hub of arts, culture, and entertainment with so much to enjoy. Anchored by an enviable waterfront  that’s a destination unto itself, with more natural and horticultural wonders to be discovered in the Royal Botanical Gardens and three stunning conservation areas, including Bronte Creek and Crawford Lake, Burlington has something for everyone. 

You could find yourself walking on water along the Brant Street Pier, or on the picturesque Waterfront Trail that hugs the lakeshore for several kilometres, or digging your toes in the sand at Beachway Park. Cool yourself down at one of the nearby ice cream parlours, bite into a handmade treat at Sunshine Donuts, or stop by one of the many unique stores, galleries, bars, pubs, and restaurants in Burlington’s quaint downtown core. Foodies also love Burlington’s three vibrant farmer’s markets, including a large one in the Burlington Centre shopping mall.  

If you are a history buff, explore the city’s fascinating past at the Joseph Brant and Ireland House museums. If you love art, the Burlington Art Gallery holds an excellent collection of Canadian works. Theatre buff? The Burlington Performing Arts Centre is where you’ll find plays, musicals, dance and top-name performers. You’ll find more top notes at the Sound of Music Festival—complete with marching bands and a parade—in Spencer Smith Park.
