At Chartwell, the location of our residences is as important as the care and services we provide. Chartwell Cité-Jardin is no exception. Our senior home is located in a prime residential area of Gatineau, a great place to walk or bike.

We are also near several major roadways, so getting downtown is easy. If you don’t feel like driving, you can take public transportation or the residence shuttle to nearby destinations like the mall or a restaurant.

A wide range of activities is available in the city. The municipal library, the Maison de la culture, theatres and cinemas, the Lac-Leamy casino and numerous green spaces are just a short trip away. Every day is a new adventure!

When you arrive at the complex, you are sure to notice the patios and green spaces surrounding our buildings. Yes, they’re open to residents! As you walk through the doors, you will see our beautiful lobby. So take the time to get comfortable in an armchair by the fire! Each common area has a certain je-ne-sais-quoi that just makes you feel relaxed and at home.

Adjacent to the lobby, the main dining room’s large windows fill it with warm light. You can tell it’s the kind of place where you’ll be served a good meal with kindness and attention.

Feel like having some fun? Then go for it! Try out the pool table, take a dip in the pool, or join in on a board game or movie night. Whatever you’re in the mood for, we’ve got it!
