At Chartwell Oxford Gardens, all you have to do is to consult the large-screen TV in the lobby to discover the latest activities happening in the residence, as well as the daily menus and other updates. Once you’ve done that, the most difficult part of your day may be choosing what activity to pursue and enjoy. Would you like to try something different? Or perhaps renew a previous interest that you never had the time, space, or energy to pursue? Chartwell Oxford Gardens offers you a variety of activities via our LiveNow life enrichment program. This exclusive program promotes experiences founded on the six dimensions of wellness—physical, social, emotional, intellectual, spiritual, and vocational.
You’ll find those six dimensions in our fitness classes, educational and learning opportunities, arts, culture and creative activities, and in our live entertainment and musical events, and spiritual pursuits, including worship services and opportunities to reflect and do Bible study.
You’ll also find that where we do our activities throughout the residence has been planned with equal thought. Our bright and open common spaces invite spontaneous chats and gatherings. Residents especially love our games room with its putting green, billiards, and shuffleboard tables. The pool is perfect for a leisure swim or taking a fitness class that’s gentle on the joints.
As always, while our goal is to help you lead an engaging and purposeful retirement, you are free to follow your own schedule, and your own path, choosing to do as much, or as little, as you like.

At Chartwell Oxford Gardens your vibrant lifestyle might begin with a morning Rhythm ‘N’ Moves or chair yoga session. It’s a nice day, so maybe you’ll see what’s happening in the garden with our horticultural program. This afternoon there’s an outing to try a new bakery in town, or you could stop by the strawberry social taking place on the patio. There’s wine and cheese later on, and you can’t forget to attend tomorrow’s meeting when a guest speaker arrives. Or you may get together with a friend for a coffee and freshly prepared snack in our bistro. You know that regardless of your choice—and that could include relaxing in your homey suite—you will end your day feeling fulfilled and content.

Chartwell Oxford Gardens is known throughout the community for its excellent range of amenities and caring, engaged staff, who are always supportive of our residents’ needs and active lifestyle. From our spacious main dining room and intimate private dining room to our bar/lounge with fireplace, bistro, and country kitchen, you’ll find there are so many places to enjoy a meal, a snack, or a drink—and the good company and conversation that goes along with it. You’ll also find it easy to have fun in our activity room, playing pool, perfecting your putt, or joining in a shuffleboard tournament. When it’s time to work out, our well-equipped fitness room has the equipment you need to keep fit. Don’t forget to bring popcorn when you’re taking in a classic comedy in our movie theatre, and come on in, the water’s always fine in the residence pool. The chapel is a quiet place to reflect or attend a worship service. And our tuck shop has the little necessities you need.
We put the same thoughtful consideration into planning our outdoor amenities, with pleasant lighted walking paths, fountains and sculptures, pretty gardens and shady patios, perfect places to stop and smell the roses—or perhaps the hydrangeas.
