The Dining Experience at Chartwell Waterford in Oakville 

At Chartwell Waterford, your restaurant-style dining experience isn’t just about enjoying a delicious, homemade breakfast, lunch, or dinner. First, it’s about the quality of the food, showcasing fresh produce, eggs and cheeses, fish, poultry, and meats, sourced locally through our supplier whenever possible. It’s also about how our culinary team prepares all dishes, rotating seasonal menus so every month features some new dishes. They strive to offer meals that are pleasing to your palate, and good for you too, achieving a balance between tried-and-true resident favourites and new selections that are equally tempting. You can choose from a diversified featured daily menu or our à la carte menu.

For dinner for example, you might start with cream of leek and potato soup, or a radish/white bean/cucumber/carrot and mint salad, followed by pretzel-crusted chicken breast with grilled zucchini, farro, sweet potato braise, and sautéed mushroom with sage, topped off by pineapple upside-down cake for dessert. You are welcome to enjoy a glass of wine with that too.

Your experience continues with the dining room itself. You’ll find it open and airy, brightly decorated in polished hues. We also offer flexible dining times. Our staff and residents love to celebrate, and themed nights are our specialty. Interested in hosting a private family dinner? Feel free to book our private dining room (and take advantage of our catering service), or you can invite guests into our main dining room.

Behind every great meal at Chartwell Waterford there is an equally great food services team. You’ll see our friendly servers greeting and chatting with residents, getting to know them and their preferences. How do you take your coffee? Would you prefer your salad dressing on the side? Our servers are dedicated to making every meal not just about eating, but about enjoying the experience from the moment you step into the dining room. You’ll also meet our Food Services Manager, who strives for continual improvement by listening to and incorporating residents’ feedback. Our goal is that every meal is very satisfying.
