Chartwell Terrace on the Square is in a prime location on Caroline Street in uptown Waterloo, just steps from a variety of convenient services and urban amenities, including upscale shops, restaurants, spas, public transit, and health care. Grand River Hospital and St. Mary’s Hospital are only a few minutes away from our neighbourhood by car, and the attractions and easy walking trails of Waterloo Park are just to the northeast of the residence.

A wonderful blend of historic charm and modern conveniences, Waterloo offers many attractions and venues for seniors and families to explore. Enjoy live musical events at Centre in the Square or the Waterloo Jazz Festival, or discover a new exhibit at The Museum, Kitchener-Waterloo Art Gallery, or the Canadian Clay and Glass Gallery. Theatre lovers have lots of performances to choose from at venues such as the St. Jacobs Country Playhouse or Hamilton Family Theatre. Meet a friend to walk the changing landscape of the Spur Line Trail (a former railway route that winds through the city). Head to the charming villages of St. Jacobs or Elora to shop at the unique independent boutiques, or stop by farm stands or local farmers’ markets for fresh local fare. Eateries like The Bauer Kitchen, Charcoal Steakhouse, and Vincenzo’s are all popular local options as well.
