Hurontario Street and all major highways, including Highway 403, 401, 427, and the QEW, are close by, making it easy to get to the airport, downtown Toronto, or Port Credit, Mississauga’s charming waterfront neighbourhood. Residents are surrounded by a huge variety of stores and services, and a range of restaurants featuring every international cuisine, as well as popular chains. Things to do in Mississauga

Reflecting its vibrant multicultural population, Mississauga offers a round-the-world itinerary of things to do and see without ever leaving its borders. If you love a good festival, then begin your arts, music, and food  journey in the winter with Winter Magic, at the Museum of Mississauga. Next, mark your April calendar for a visit to the annual Arts on the Credit event. In May, you’ll find the world in your backyard with Carassauga, Canada’s largest multicultural festival, held in different locations throughout the city. Then there’s the Dragon Boat Festival, Halal Food Fest, North America’s largest Ukrainian festival in September, as well as Bollywood Monster Mashup, also the largest festival in Canada celebrating South Asian culture—and that’s just to name a few  events that keep the city celebrating year-round.

The Living Arts Centre offers another calendar of performers with three theatres, seven craft studios, and a restaurant for pre-show dining. On a smaller scale, the Meadowvale Theatre is a showcase for regional arts group productions. The city also has its own art gallery, housed in the Mississauga Civic Centre, across from Square One Shopping Centre. If the 300-plus stores in Square One don’t satisfy your retail itch, for a completely different experience, head to Port Credit, where you can explore a myriad of charming independent boutiques and restaurants on the shores of Lake Ontario. You can also stroll the waterfront trail there, visit the marina, or have a picnic at Jack Darling Memorial Park.
