Winter Promotion Offer - Terms & Conditions

1. Chartwell Retirement Residence’s (“Chartwell”) Winter Promotion Offer (the “Offer”), as further detailed in section 2 below, is effective from December 1, 2021 to February 28, 2022 (the “Promotion Period”) only, unless terminated earlier by Chartwell in its sole discretion.
2. During the Promotion Period and subject to section 10 below, a new customer (a “Resident”) who moves into an eligible Chartwell residence on or before May 1, 2022, will receive the Offer as follows:
1. two (2) months free of the mandatory basic fee/rent for accommodation and services (the “Basic Fee/Basic Rent”); and
2. a onetime $1,000 move-in bonus for the first year of residency.
3. This Offer is conditional upon:
1. the Resident entering into Chartwell’s standard form of Residency Agreement or Lease during the Promotion Period;
2. the Resident’s tenancy commencement date is on or before May 1, 2022; and
3. the term of the Resident’s residency lasting at least twelve (12) months from the tenancy commencement date.
4. The Offer will be applied to the Resident’s account as follows, in a manner satisfactory to Chartwell in its sole discretion:
1. The first month's Basic Fee/Basic Rent will be credited on or about the first day of the second full calendar month following the tenancy commencement date;
2. The second month's Basic Fee/Basic Rent will be credited on or about the first day of the third full calendar month following the tenancy commencement date; and,
3. Subject to section 3(c) above, the onetime $1,000 move-in bonus will be credited on the twelfth month following the tenancy commencement date.
5. Any optional and non-mandatory fees under Chartwell’s standard form of Residency Agreement or Lease are not included and are specifically excluded in this Offer.
6. The Offer is non-transferable, not for resale, and not redeemable for cash and is not valid in conjunction with any other offer or promotion.
7. This Offer does not apply to existing Chartwell residents.
8. This Offer is only available at the following eligible Chartwell residences:

9. This Offer does not apply to (i) licensed Designated Supportive Living suites at Chartwell Retirement Residences in Alberta; (ii) Assisted Living, Memory Living and Memory Care suites at Chartwell Retirement Residences in Ontario and Quebec; (iii) Chartwell long-term care homes.
10. This Offer may only be redeemed once by the First Resident/Occupant under the standard form of Residency Agreement or Lease, notwithstanding an election by two (2) Residents/occupants to share a single suite.
11. These Terms and Conditions, including the Offer, shall be deemed to be incorporated into the Residency Agreement or Lease and, to the extent there is any conflict, these Terms and Conditions shall take precedence.
12. By accepting this Offer, the Resident and/or Responsible Party represents that he/she has read and fully understands these Terms and Conditions and agrees to be bound by them.
