Residents at Chartwell Pickering City Centre are highly engaged, sometimes leading activities in our life enrichment program that they have an expertise or interest in. This makes the residence a vibrant place to call home, where there’s always something going on. Can you see yourself joining a friendly game of Bridge or Cribbage, or enjoying some fun and challenging brain exercises in a FitMinds session? Perhaps you’d like to keep limber in a physio-fit class or dance it out at Rhythm ‘N’ Moves? Residents love learning something new in a “learn to play pool” class, or showing their creative or culinary talents in an art class or baking get-together. They are musical, loving sing-alongs and visits from local entertainers, and they are dancers too—senior prom anyone? If you enjoy being social, there are many opportunities to connect, from an ice cream social to an outing to Ribfest in the Park.

Residents find the amenity spaces at Chartwell Pickering City Centre to be welcoming, open, and easy to navigate, allowing for both easy-going socializing and quiet relaxation. Beyond our spacious traditional dining room, our bistro is the perfect spot for a coffee or freshly prepared snack, and our private dining room can be booked for family dinners. You can play pool in our games room, or work out in our well-equipped fitness studio. Enjoy a film night in our movie theatre, or get comfortable with a good book in our library. We have a wellness centre and spa to keep you looking your best. Outside, our private patio is the place to spend a warm afternoon.

We also have a guest room you can reserve for overnight visitors, and outdoor parking is an available option.
