Located on a secure floor of our retirement residence, Chartwell Deerview Crossing’s Memory Living neighbourhood is a supportive and independent environment for seniors living with dementia. We emphasize enriching activities of daily living, specially-designed programming, and family-style dining with staff to create an atmosphere that is soothing, social, and feels like home.
Our unique approach to memory care
With a unique person-centred approach to memory care, our trained and caring staff at Chartwell Deerview Crossing establish strong social connections with residents in order to foster trust and familiarity, and partner with their families to learn each person’s life history—all to better understand their story and form meaningful relationships.
Memory care support for families of residents
To support the families of residents living with cognitive impairment, a dedicated Social Worker is also available to provide orientation, facilitate family conferences, and deliver counseling services. Furthermore, family members are encouraged to drop by our on-site Caregiver Café any time.
