Our Continuing Care Home Type B (assisted living) suites—which are subsidized by Assisted Living Alberta (ALA)—have two cost components. While ALA funds your care services and subsidizes the cost of your suite if you are eligible for the program following an assessment, residents still pay an accommodation fee and for additional services as applicable. Eligibility for Continuing Care Home Type B (assisted living) in Alberta is assessed, and coordinated by Assisted Living Alberta (ALA). If you or your loved one is experiencing health or mobility challenges, a Case Manager from ALA will complete a healthcare needs assessment to confirm whether assisted living is the appropriate level of care for you.
What is staff support like for assisted living?
Residents receiving assisted living services will have access to on-site health care aides 24 hours a day to provide for their support and personal care needs, as well as professional nursing care by a licensed practical nurse. In addition to our other non-registered staff like our friendly dietary servers and housekeepers, you may have access to other professionals delivering rehabilitation or nursing care as coordinated by your Assisted Living Alberta Case Manager.
