Our unique approach to memory careWith a unique person-centred approach to memory care, our trained and caring staff at Chartwell Deerview Crossing establish strong social connections with residents in order to foster trust and familiarity, and partner with their families to learn each person’s life history—all to better understand their story and form meaningful relationships.
Memory care support for families of residentsTo support the families of residents living with cognitive impairment, a dedicated Social Worker is also available to provide orientation, facilitate family conferences, and deliver counseling services. Furthermore, family members are encouraged to drop by our on-site Caregiver Café any time.
Special program features for seniors with dementiaChartwell Deerview Crossing’s Memory Living Neighbourhood includes the following specialized programs, services, and amenities: - Small resident-to-staff ratios - Secure and interactive environment with 24-hour supervision, including access to outdoor space - Specialized life-enrichment programming and family-style dining - Flexible routines that balance structure with spontaneity - Person-centred care plans reflective of residents’ unmet needs, abilities and interests - Dedicated Memory Living Manager and Social Worker to support families
