At Chartwell Eau Claire, our continuum of care residence in Calgary offers independent living suites with the option of Private Supportive Living services that can be customized to your unique needs and preferences. We also offer Designated Supportive Living suites, and memory care suites (DSL4D) for seniors living with dementia. With so many living and care options, you can feel confident that we can accommodate your or a loved one’s unique needs as they evolve, empowering you to age in place.
Independent Living
Care Services available
Our independent living lifestyle offers a variety of services that can make your or a loved one’s life convenient and comfortable. These include three nutritious daily meals, weekly housekeeping and linen service, personal laundry services, and transportation services. For your peace of mind, we also have staff on site 24/7 and emergency response.
Your health and wellness are important to us, which is why we provide access to a number of valuable services and visiting professionals on your very doorstep. That includes support services such as foot care, physiotherapy, an on-site nurse, visiting physician, and lab services. Additional care services are available as needed.

Private Supportive Living
Private Supportive Living is well-suited to seniors who want to benefit from an independent lifestyle that offers 24/7 on-site staff support and flexible care services, such as assistance with your morning or evening routine, medication management, and access to a robust team of visiting health care professionals. This may include physicians, occupational therapists, and social workers. With this lifestyle option, care services are fully funded by Alberta Health Services.
Assisted Living (Designated Supportive Living)
Designated Supportive Living combines convenient retirement services with personalized care support. This subsidized lifestyle option is ideal for you or a loved one if you need significant help with your daily routine and customized services that can help maintain or improve your comfort and quality of life. We provide care services such as assistance with activities of daily living, medication management, vitals monitoring, an escort to meals and activities, and much more. Together, we will partner to build your individual care plan that meets your specific needs 24 hours a day.
Uniquely, Chartwell Eau Claire does not have dedicated floors for our assisted living residents, but designated suites throughout the building. This means total privacy in terms of the care you are receiving in your personal suite. Additionally, assisted living residents enjoy access to all amenities and activities offered in the residence, with multiple dining room options available for accessibility.
To qualify, Alberta Health Services authorizes and funds accommodations and care services for you or a loved one at our retirement residence. Care and services are exclusively provided by Chartwell staff.
Memory care (Designated Supportive Living 4D)
Memory care (DSL4D) is a subsidized lifestyle option for seniors living with dementia. We provide WanderGuard technology for residents so they can safely live anywhere in the building, supporting their sense of freedom and independence. For individuals who require a more secure environment to support advanced stages of dementia, we also have a dedicated memory care floor with its own dining room.
Our caring and compassionate staff are trained in dementia support and help residents live each day in contentment and comfort. We offer a multitude of services to support our residents, including cueing and assistance with daily routines, bathing and showering assistance, an escort to meals and activities, and so much more.
To qualify, Alberta Health Services authorizes and funds accommodations and care services for your loved one at our retirement residence. Care and services are exclusively provided by Chartwell staff.
