As you walk through our doors, you'll find our retirement home is defined by comfortable furnishings, a warm colour palette, and a high-ceilinged dining room with large windows where you’ll find yourself enjoying a delicious meal prepared by our award-winning chef. Our suites are equally attractive and come in a selection of spacious and well-designed studio, one- and two-bedroom layouts that feel modern and fresh. Meanwhile, the living experience of our residents is elevated thanks to our lovely walking trails around the building, an outdoor patio that serves as a gathering place, and gardens where you can plant flowers or vegetables. You'll also love all our wildlife sightings—from birds to rabbits!

Activities and amenities

Our residence has a vibrant, community feel with residents who bring a strong sense of belonging, purpose, and fun. We understand that there’s no one-size-fits-all way you want to spend your retirement. That’s why we’ve developed an activity schedule that has a multitude of interests and goals in mind. Many of our residents are looking to meet new friends and socialize. Some are looking for intellectual stimulation, a deeper connection to spirituality, or to continue volunteering. You’re free to join as many activities as you like: programs take place in our in-house amenities from the activity and games rooms to the library and fitness room.

Our pet-friendly suites are self-contained to give you autonomy and privacy, with full access to a wealth of activities and amenities. We have suites in three configurations. Studios suites are perfect for one; one-bedroom and two-bedroom suites are great for couples or singles looking for more room.

Chartwell Conservatory Pond is in a wonderful central neighbourhood surrounded by nature, whether you’re appreciating the views from our large windows or enjoying the environment while on a stroll. We’re directly across the street from a large grocery store and pharmacy, with more shopping options just down the road. The residence is also close to places of worship, curling clubs, the Royal Canadian Legion, golf courses, parks, trails and more! Downtown Kingston is minutes away, with plenty more services and amenities.

Things to do in Kingston

Kingston is a city with a rich history and vibrant, bustling core. Take a sunset cruise through the 1000 Islands or take the ferry to Wolfe Island for a day of exploring. For a scenic walk, try the Kingston Waterfront Rideau Trail, a wheelchair-accessible paved path that takes you past many beautiful sights, food vendors, and historical points of interest. Or explore the 15 km K&P Trail, a multi-use path that served as a railway track in the 1800s.

Be a lifelong learner at the Kingston Seniors Association. You’ll find courses in everything from woodcarving and Pilates to juggling and bucket drumming.
