With the birth of the new royal baby, His Royal Highness Prince George, a number of Chartwell residences sent letters of congratulations to William and Kate, Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. They were shocked when they received thank you letters directly from Kensington Palace (the postage was even stamped as “Royal Mail!”) Chartwell Willow Retirement Community also held a baby shower in honour of this exciting occasion. In addition to games and entertainment, residents brought a gift to the party which was later donated to a local charity. From books and blankets to baby food and toys, residents chipped in to make the event a true royal success.
