Chartwell's Diversity and Inclusion Leadership Council

Chartwell is known for Making People’s Lives BETTER, and it gives me great pride to build upon our strong history as an equitable and respectful organization dedicated to diversity and inclusivity. We have always promoted diversity and inclusion in our workforce, our residences and our communities, as demonstrated through our 16,000-strong team of employees whose various cultures, life experiences and identities are not only welcomed, but celebrated each day. We have recently been recognized for the gender diversity among our leadership team. I am honoured to further Chartwell as a leader in diversity and inclusion, continuing to drive this important strategy forward in 2021 and beyond.

We recently published a Diversity and Inclusion Framework and announced the establishment of a new Leadership Council to formalize our commitment to diversity and inclusion. Comprised of 12 passionate individuals from diverse backgrounds and roles within Chartwell, each member will be encouraged to bring their unique viewpoints forward. Our commitment to strengthening diversity and inclusion in our residences and corporate offices is as strong as ever, and it is rooted in the knowledge and conviction that diversity and inclusion is good for all our stakeholders, good for our business, and the right thing to do.
