We offer employees a variety of role-specific programs, training sessions, tools and resources that provide ongoing knowledge and skill development from their early days on the job and throughout their career at Chartwell.


We continue to develop Chartwell specific programs to help our employees grow and flourish.

The following programs are currently available to eligible participants:


This program supports leaders in using best practices to ensure you feel welcomed and are set up for success.

We hold an annual conference for General Managers, Administrators and corporate office leaders. It is devoted to the growth and development of our leadership team and focuses on sharing strategic messages on best practices, leadership skills and the opportunity to exchange and share ideas among peers.

Residence managers attend regional meetings and conferences that includes job-specific and leadership skills training, communication and discussion of new initiatives and strategies.

This intensive one-year program combines in-class education with case studies, discussion groups and job shadowing. Program participants are individuals who show potential to be a future General Manager, Administrator or Director of Care for one of our residences. There is a rigorous application process to be accepted into the program. To date, this program has resulted in many success stories.
